Treasurer Position Vacant - Interested Candidates Sought

As many are aware, our WEVD Treasurer Robert Diefenbach has passed away, and no candidate stepped forward at the 2024 annual meeting. The WEVD treasurer position remains vacant. The Commissioners are seeking to appoint a member of the community for this position, for a 1-year term. The weekly commitment is estimated to be no more than 3 hours per week at peak times (e.g. budgeting season). The District's new municipal finance software tracks expenses much more efficiently and accurately than QuickBooks, significantly reducing the burden on the Treasurer to sort through data.

Requirements for this position are as follows:

  • Resident of WEVD (i.e. full-time)
  • Able to submit treasurer report for Commissioner meetings on a bi-weekly basis (template provided)
  • Available to sign checks for payroll and payables on a weekly basis in the absence or alongside a Commissioner
  • Participate on the Budget Advisory Committee (late fall/early winter weekly meetings on Mondays at 4 pm)
